On Thursday 20th October, students from the STEPs programme, our pathway to independence and employment went along to support with the Grand Opening opening of the Poolie Time Eco shop which is based on York Road.
The opening went well and had a constant footfall of customers. Our students had a fantastic time and helped to pack bags, restock shelves and chat to customers.
The Eco shop will be open every Thursday and Friday 10am – 2pm to sell a variety of products at very low prices.
Harrison (one of our students|) said “it’s so noble, Poolie time exchange know that they are going to run the shop at a loss but they want to offer affordable groceries to people in need”
