Catcote Futures Students/Learners

Our aim is to provide lifelong learning opportunities to the Learning Disability community of Hartlepool and the surrounding areas with a priority to fulfil and deliver accredited education programmes to eligible students with Education & Health Care Plan (EHC) and funding from the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA).

As of January 2018, our student/learner cohort is comprised of:

  • 27 ESFA funded learners;
  • 34 lifelong learners;
  • 7 learners funded by Continuing Health Care.

These learners age groups fall into the following categories:

  • 47 learners aged 19 – 24;
  • 15 learners aged 25 – 30;
  • 5 learners aged 31 – 40;
  • 2 learners aged 40+

Of our 69 current learners, 46 (67%) have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHC). The majority of our students reside in Hartlepool though we do have learners coming from Durham, Darlington and Stockton.
